Our Story
Mark's Fret Shop is a full service guitar repair shop, repairing all brands of guitars, banjos, and mandolins. I combine over 30 years of repair experience with a well equipped shop to offer quality work at
competitive prices. I provide a wide range of repair services, from minor setups, to complex structural repairs and restorations. My client list consists of many pro musicians, bands, and retail music stores within Indiana and neighboring states. At Mark's Fret Shop, you can rest assured that your instrument will be treated with a gentle and professional touch.
Meet Mark Wallace
After several years working as a machinist and quality technician in the aerospace industry, I spent the next 35 years as an environmental specialist for a major pharmaceutical manufacturer. During this time, my love of the guitar evolved into developing my knowledge of the structural aspects of fretted instruments, their methods of construction, modes of failure, and how to best conduct repairs using traditional methods that preserve their heritage. I am passionate about music and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. In my shop I treat every instrument as if it were my own and take pride in my work.
Our Facility
The shop is equipped with the latest tools and technology to ensure precision repairs. We have a large selection of replacement parts as well as a small machine shop section that can produce specialized repair tooling and the reproduction of some obsolete parts.
